NY Methodist Hospital is having a free health fair, "The Path to Breastfeeding Success" on Wednesday August 1 from 9 am to 3 pm. Go to: Medical Pavilion Lobby, 263 Seventh Ave, btw. 5th and 6th Streets. Lactation consultants and registered nurses and dieticians will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on topics such as preparing to breastfeed, value of colostrums, good nutrition and bonding. I did call them to see if they could help with problems and they said they can do a quick check, but not full consultations at the fair. However, they do have a breastfeeding program at NYM (you don’t have to have given birth there) on Tuesdays at 2:30 pm.
