The Flatbush Frolic is coming this Sunday, September 16th, from 11AM- 5PM
on Cortelyou Road between Coney Island Avenue and E18th Street.There will be lots of vendors, rides, food, activities and entertainment by local talent. Midwood Martial Arts & Family Fitness Center will be there with demonstrations and interactive activities for children and adults. There will be a whole section called "Just for Kids" for the younger
ones in the PS 139 playground on Cortelyou Road between Argyle and
Rugby (next door to the library). Inside the kid’s area will be face painting, henna tattoos, and
entertainment – Sign A Song, Music for Aardvarks, GymStars, Juguemos A
Cantar and the Amazing Ken will all perform for the littles. Music for Aardvarks will be at 12:30 pm. Older children and adults can play on Cortelyou Road between E17th and 18th Streets. There will be basketball hoops and you can sign up to take part in Capoeira, Gymnastics, Karate, and Kickboxing sessions. There will also be a Feldenkrais Method/Bones for Life Q & A session with an instructor, who is a licensed physical therapist.
