 September 22 – 23 Harvest Days: Hot Potatoes 1 – 4 p.m. Bring in the crops! Harvest and cook potatoes, churn butter, run potato sack races, watch a spinster spinning flax into linen thread, and participate in a gourd instrument making workshop. Lefferts Historic House. Free! Lefferts Historic House is located at the Children’s Corner, inside the Park’s Willink Entrance, at thentersection of Flatbush and Ocean Avenues and Empire Boulevard. Lefferts is also on the Blue Trail. By Public Transportation: (MTA map) Q, S, or B Train to Prospect Park station B-16 Bus to Ocean Ave. and Empire Blvd. B-41 Bus to Flatbush Ave. and Empire Blvd. B-43 Bus to Ocean Ave. and Empire Blvd. B-48 Bus to Flatbush Ave. and Empire Blvd. By Car: From Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges: Take Flatbush Ave. to Grand Army Plaza, continue on Flatbush until Empire Blvd. From BQE: Take BQE to Prospect Expressway, 10th Ave. exit. Make left on 11th Ave. Make right on Prospect Park Southwest to Park Circle. From Circle, follow Parkside Ave. Make left on Ocean Ave. to Empire Blvd. |
