A Child Grows in Brooklyn t-shirts

Childgrows_cambridge…..and, nope! I am not making them.  Brooklyn father, Adam Scherr, is making these super cool shirts. Of course, the wording is an allusion to the book, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn", as is the title of this blog. I love this t-shirt for a lot of reasons: hip design, it references the original book graphically and also our famous trees and, of course, it mentions our neighborhood and the name of this blog. Adam has expanded this line by adding other cities and continues to do so. He licenses and sells the t-shirts "A Child Grows In……." for virtually any city.  It is such a great idea- and how fun to have a real cool t-shirt from a place you visit/ed or live/d.  Adam and his 4 year old son, Sam, collaborate on the t-shirts (oh clever Sam!) and have come up with some other great designs and snappy lines. I like the ABC line: famous icons are matched with the alphabet (see bottom photo). My personal favorite is "D is for Dizzy". Not that I am or am not a particular fan of Dizzy Gillespie- just that I think the design is fantastic. Lucky Sam- so many cool t-shirts to choose from when he wakes up in the morning.  I wish I could sell the "A Child Grows In Brooklyn" t-shirts on my blog: but I’m not set up for ecommerce and I barely understand all the blogging software as it is. However, you can buy Adam’s t-shirt lines at the following Brooklyn stores. You can check out all of Adam’s collections at: http://www.infiniteeny.com
