As an artist, sometimes it is scary for me to think about what is happening to my art making as a parent (very little), and what that means for my career and self. I am sure some of you out there can relate this to your own lives/careers. I thought this quote by the writer Anne Tyler was so astute and helpful.

"It seems to me that since I’ve had children, I’ve grown richer and deeper. They may have slowed down my writing for a while, but when I did write, I had more of a self to speak from."
