Finally! There is a nanny and sitter service for Brooklyn. In the past, you had to call Manhattan for any of those "pinchsitter" services.  Lauren, one of the co-founders at Bija (a yoga, dance, tumbling studio for children and adults) and Deborah (local mom of three), have started Now Nanny NY. I met Deborah and Lauren at a kids disco last weekend. They mentioned this new business they had started and I just knew some of you would be interested. They do everything from finding you a last minute nanny- (in case you are sick or don’t have childcare last minute or for any emergency, help you find a permanent nanny, provide assistants for children’s parties and create custom packages like tutoring, running errands and cleaning.  Wow! Can they wake our kids up and get them ready for school too?? Prices start at $15.50 an hour to $18 an hour. One of the cool byproducts of the afterschool program is that they pick your child up at school and take them to Bija for a class and afterwards take them to Bija’s backyard for play and pickup. How do they find their caregivers? Via referrals from local parents and other caregivers.
