I was walking around DUMBO yesterday, needing to sort out my brain. I had just spent an hour at Rebar drinking coffee and meeting bloggers/software developers/site creatives and had just been exposed to a whole new level of techie language: "wikis" and "tweeters" were buzzing in my head. I passed by Modern Tots- a store in DUMBO, not far from the water.  I saw this awesome treehouse. IT IS the perfect antidote for us city dwellers- a treehouse in your home! It comes with a "tree" and branches and drawbridges that wind up and down, a glider chair that really glides, hammocks that swing, pulleys that pull and ladders that fold up and down. In other words, plenty of moving parts to keep little fingers busy.  It is made out of solid wood and sells for $129. I had never been to their store and I really liked it. It felt spacious and yet chock full of goodies to look over.  I even got into the back where they have a spacious, rubber-matted play area with colorful art on the walls and bright lights in a nice sized room. They currently have art and language classes that take place in there.  I asked if you could rent it out, and happily, they said "yes."
