Tot
Back
I wish I had posted about this product before you all left for vacation as I am sure some of you could have used it, but I just couldn’t manage. We barely made it to the plane on time.  So maybe this might help you for your future trips (short and long).  We take this TableTot with us whenever we go somewhere for an extended day or longer trip.  Table Tot is a portable high chair that converts a regular grownup chair to a baby seat. So, you can go to grandma and grandpa’s, your hipster friends’ place, your nearby restaurant….virtually anywhere and make a chair a highchair. We love it.  The company was started by a  mom who sews each one of these fabric seats that fits over the back of a chair and holds your child in the front (kindof like a diaper) and then fastens in back. It is easy. In the photo we were at my in-laws and you can see that we perched Birch on some books so he could reach the table better, but you don’t have to. TableTot even worked for these ridiculous slingback chairs we had in our kitchen when Birch started revolting against his high chair.  I was surprised it worked on flimsy fabric chairs, but it did.  Birch gets to sit in a chair like a grownup and pretend to be like one. (Pretend is the operative word here- we are STILL battling the horrific food throwing each meal- suggestions welcome). The other thing we love is that it folds up small and is so lightweight.  It beats our Phil and Ted’s MeToo in both those departments. I also prefer it because it couldn’t potentially damage anyone’s table. You can use TableTot to keep public high chairs and shopping carts germ free. At the rate that we all seem to be getting the flu and colds this season in Brooklyn, that isn’t such a bad idea.  She has a lot of different colors and they sell for $45 each.  (Same price as the Phil and Ted’s MeToo by the way).
