OB rec: John Brennan on Clinton St. delivered both our kids. We initially planned to do the all-natural/birthing center/doula plan and he was open to it. We ended up doing the exact opposite. I won't go into the details, but for the first pregnancy we ended up in the regular OR (there was flooding in labor and delivery) and it was very calming to have a doctor doctor -- you know, a guy who wise-cracks TV-style with the mask on -- in that daunting environment.

crayola makes washable markers - which really are; There is also the color wonder line which only works on the special color wonder paper - I dont like these as much though as there is a delay before the ink shows up so I don't think they are good for spontaneous creativity purposes. You might have to cover a table with newpaper and sit with her with paper and markers and keep an eye on her... Good luck and have fun!

I have a question for toddler moms: any recommendations for child friendly/safe art supplies? My daughter discovered crayola markers at her cousins house and now loves to color- though it's a total mess and ends up all over her and everything. Wondering if there is anything designed for less coordinated toddlers ?

I had leg cramps at night during all of my four pregnancies.
If you are aware its happening you can flex your toes in towards your shins.
If you are asleep and wake in pain the easiest thing is to stand up. Standing forces the heel down and relieves the pain immediately.

Best wishes with your pregnancy!
