I have been creating a new look to the blog and today is the debut!

Some of the new features include:
A Google calendar that will feature events. Check it out for something to do before you roll out that morning or use it to plan ahead. If you click on an event, it will give you full details, as well as a map and sometimes even a photo of the building or storefront. (see an example in the photo). It is easy to add the events to your own Google calendar. I will still have “A Child Grows Event Picks” for my weekly recommended event listings though.

The Child Grows in Brooklyn Advice Network. This forum is constantly updated as comments or questions come in. It will always be featured as the first post so that it makes it easy for you all to talk back and forth to one another. Just sign up with the forum if you haven’t already- it’s a breeeeeeeeeze!

The Resources are now in drop-down menus so that you don’t have to keep scrolling down, down, down. I noticed yesterday that a few of the subpages are missing- so I promise to correct that this week.

The site now accepts advertising. Hooray- I might be able to put some pennies in Birch’s and Willow’s piggybanks for college!

The email subscription will change this week so your daily newsletter will look different. Until that’s updated you won’t be getting your daily emails- it should be up and going on Wednesday.

There are definitely some glitches: there are broken links and some other issues that I hope if I don’t point out you won’t notice until I fix them!
