WILLIAMSBURG: HANDMADE HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR
Sunday, December 7: 12pm-7pm
This is my kind of Holiday Fair. 3rd Ward (artists’ co-op) and Brooklyn Based (one of my all-time fav blogs) has a fair with over 50 local artisans, etsy superheroes and culinary makers. You can find everything from dog costumes, wrapping paper, custom clothing and jewelery and more. Grab a spiked drink for yourself and a free coffee for your partner and peruse the goodies.
3rd Ward is located at 195 Morgan Ave., at the corner of Stagg St., in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
CLINTON HILL: PHOTOS WITH SANTA
Saturday and Sunday, December 6, 7: 2pm-6pm
Get ready for mom-photographer, Stephanie Powell, to bring the North Pole to Brooklyn at kids’ store Still Hip. With a beautiful background and comfy chair this years picture will be the best ever. No need to reserve a spot, but try to come early when the crowds are smaller. $10/shot
MANHATTAN: KALEIDOSCOPE LIGHT SHOW AND HOLIDAY FAIR
December 1-January 1, 2009
Check out the light show at Grand Central Terminal. The interior shows take place in the Main Concourse every half hour from 11am-9pm daily. While you are there, you might chekc out their Holiday Fair in Vanderbilt Hall a the Terminal. That runs Mon-Sat, 10am-8pm and Sunday 11am-7pm, up until Dec. 29th. The train show is
BROOKLYN: NY TRANSIT MUSEUM HOLIDAY TRAIN SHOW
November 24-January 19: Mon-Fri: 8-8pm and Sat and Sun 10-6pm.
This annual holiday train show has models of Grand Central, North Pole, subway and bus stations and, finally, Santa’s workshop. FREE.
