I guess I am obsessing about sleep- or lack thereof these days- arggh. This will be my second post on sleep this week!
But, I just had to tell you all about this sleep chart that I found on BabyCenter. I loaded it the sleepchart as a PDF so you can download and print it. I have also included an image of it so you can see what it looks like.
Here is how you do it: Put the letter (D) in for what time you put your child down and (U) for when when s/he wakes up. Then shade the times that s/he is actually asleep. This chart makes it so much easier than writing down the dates and times in a book.
So why do this?
- It can help you make sure your child is getting enough sleep.
- You can figure out if you are getting them down at a consistent time.
- Babysitters can use it to help you see what happened while you were gone.
- Use it to help see your child’s sleeping patterns.
- Take it with you to your peditrician’s if you are worried about sleep.
- It could be helpful for when your child is transitioning from 2 naps to 1 and 1 nap to none (bummer!)
- My favorite sound machine
