It is President’s Day, and maybe you have the day off of work or your child doesn’t have school. So, what to do?

  1. Check out our Google Calendar for daily events (it is at the top of the home page)- the Central Library has Story Play for example.
  2. Visit Ms. J’s in Williamsburg for some open tumbling time (and mat snoozing)
  3. Go to the Prospect Park Zoo and watch the sea lions feed
  4. Drop In Play at Families First
  5. Eat an organic meal and play at Mamalu’s in Williamsburg
  6. Bowl a set at Melody Lanes in Sunset Park (they open at 9 am!)
  7. The New York Hall of Science is open with special hours of 9:30 am-5 pm
  8. Do a walk-in craft at Spacecraft in Williamsburg (try beading, printmaking, sculpture or decorating)
  9. Make a button or build a cabin in celebration of President’s Day at the Brooklyn Museum
  10. Play at NYC Explorers from 9am to 5pm- either at their Prospect Heights location or BOCOCA location.

DON’T FORGET all those weekly events too that we have on our Event Picks.

Happy President’s Day!seal_uspresidential
