Ahh, life of the rich! You can also take a tour of the mansion ($5 for adults; $3 for children and seniors). Bring your own basket! CENTRAL PARK: 20,000 EGG HUNT
Saturday, April 4: 11- 1 pm
Yes, it is hard to believe that those hens have been working overtime for this egg hunt. There are so many egg hunts over the course of the 2 hours of this event that they stock over 20,000 eggs! It all sounds civil with two age groups (birth to three and four and up). Characters from the church’s new enrichment program are also on hand. It is all sponsored by the Gallery Church. There will also be Easter egg decorating, games, free snacks, and photo ops with the Easter Bunny. Meet in Central Park on the Great Hill (West 106th Street). All free.

DUMBO: EGG HUNT IN FULTON PARK
Saturday, April 11: 11 am- 1 pm
Pull out those rabbit ears for the big egg hunts at Empire-Fulton State Park. Last year, because there were so many participants that showed up all at once, they now are going to have three different start times:
11:00 AM
12:00 PM
1:00 PM
The kids/parents would enter at any of the three start times and have 45 minutes to collect their eggs, then, move into the Tobacco Warehouse where we will have a tent set up with activities and vendors selling food. Bring warm clothes, it is always colder down at Empire-Fulton park since it is right on the water. You can’t beat the views or green grass though!
PROSPECT PARK: UNSCRAMBLING THE EGG
Saturday, April 11 & Sunday, April 12: 1-3 pm
Learn how to hold an egg so it’s impossible to break and which animal produces a three-pound egg. Get egg-ucated through crafts, games, and exhibits. Audubon Center.
FORT GREENE: EGG HUNT
Sunday, April 12: 2 pm-5 pm
There will be an easter egg hunt, photos with Easter Bunny and other activities. Grab a free refreshment and get your face painted too, all while relaxing at the Fort Greene Garden at 2 South Portland Ave. Hosted by Suki Lulu Children Event Company.
MANHATTAN: EASTER PARADE
Sunday, April 12: 10 am
If you haven’t done this, it really is fun. You see tons of bonnets and flowers, some costumes, but mostly, everyone dressed up in finery parading down the middle of 5th Avenue is really fun! The annual Easter Parade goes up 5th Ave from 49th to 57th Streets.
BROOKLYN HEIGHTS: EGG HUNT
Saturday, April 11: 10 am (sharp)
Every spring, hundreds of little bunnies and their families turn out to participate in the annual Egg Hunt at Pierrepont Playground. If you don’t come on time, the eggs may be gone- so get your bunnies out of bed! Candy, treats, balloons and happy faces make this one of Brooklyn’s favorite egg hunts. They always have a bake sale to help raise funds for the playground so bring your hunger and cash. The Pierrepont Playground is at Columbia Heights and Pierrepont Street (on the Brooklyn Heights Promenande.)
GREENPOINT: EGG HUNT
Sunday, April 12: 11 am (service followed by hunt)
There will be an Easter egg hunt following the Easter Sunday worship celebration at the Greenpoint Reformed Church. The egg hunt usually starts around 12:15pm.

PARK SLOPE: EGG HUNT
Sunday, April 12: 11 am-1 pm
Park Slope Parents puts together this cooperative Easter Egg Hunt annually. It’s a nice idea- bring some treats for others and you receive some in return. Here is the scoop: Bring a dozen or so plastic Easter eggs filled with goodies (consider small toys, stickers, coins, shells, temporary tattoos as well candy, etc). Meet at Prospect Park West: the 3rd. st entrance
BAY RIDGE: EGG HUNT
Saturday, April 11: 2-4 pm
In what is coined as “the biggest Egg Hunt ever” , The Brooklyn Eagle says that ” BookMark Shoppe owners Christine Fleglette and Bina Valenzano plan to give away nearly 2,000 items in their “goodie bags” planted in the park for the egg hunt. The “bag” containers are being generously donated thanks to James Vavas of Nationwide Insurance, located on the same block as the bookshop.

HI Veronica
I’m sorry you didn’t see the date on the post. But at the top of the old Easter Egg Posts it says “if you are looking for Easter Egg Hunts for 2010, go here” with a link to the 2010 listing. Also, it said “Below is for 2009″- if you looked at the dates they say last years “Saturday, April 4th” whereas this year April 4th is Sunday.
This website needs to be updated and old post should be taken down….thanks to the post from 2009 there will be not egg hunting for toddler and i…
.
Yes, check the site. Will keep updating as news comes in.
I was wondering were there any rain dates for the egg hunts on 4/11/2009 since its raining? does anyone know?
HI Camille,
I don’t know for sure, but it sounds like the Park Slope Parents will be “egg-free” since they are looking for fillings for eggs.
I was wondering if any of the egg hunts are for plastic eggs? My son has an allergy to eggs and cannot touch a real one… it would be great for him to participate!
