Yes, massive it will be. News all over the blogs this morning is that Maclaren plans to recall 1 million strollers, between 1999 and 2009, after receiving 12 reports of hinges on the stroller that amputated childrens’ fingertips. There were a total of 15 reports of finger injuries. This recall involves all Maclaren single and double umbrella strollers. The word “Maclaren” is printed on the stroller. The affected models included Volo, Triumph, Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, TechnoXLR, Twin Triumph, Twin Techno and Easy Traveller. The company will send out a cover for the hinges to all owners.
