So, today, I thought I would let the cat out of the bag…former Soho stylist and Brooklyn dad Lucas Radcliffe is a great haircutter and at a good price. Lucas gives a rockin’ haircut for $50 and your child/ren gets her haircut for free. He will even come to your home to make it easier. I opted to go to his home and I’m glad I did. He had an awesome junior drum set that my kids blasted away on while I got my hair cut in relative peace. Lucas also has a flip mohawk (blue, spiky) that entertained (and scared) our 3 year old. When it came time to cut our 3 year old (Birch)’s hair, we had a small glitch. Birch patently refused. So, Lucas pulled out his juggling bag and juggled bowling pins and balls. This guy is a pro juggler. Really. He cut Birch’s hair with some struggle and it was relatively well-done considering the obstacle he had to face: a reluctant kid sitting in my lap turning his head every second.

I had Lucas come cut my hair after months of neglect, and was very happy with the results. He really took his time, was personable and easy to talk to, and gave me an easy-to-care for look that I like. It’s growing out wonderfully, which is always my true test of a good cut 
. He also cut both my boys’ hair, and despite short attention spans and wiggles, they look great. You really can’t beat 3 cuts for $50 (the kids were free) in your own home! I’ll be calling him again.

So happy to hear you think he’s great too! He is funny- and sometimes my son doesn’t get his humor (or, actually most of the time) and I love that he makes him laugh anyway!
Lucas has been cutting my hair, my husbands hair and my 7 year old daughters hair for about 1 year now. He is not only great but very entertaining as well. I am not one of those parents who gets an expensive haircut for myself and then will take my child to some schlocky kids haircutting place where haircutters only work at because they are not good enough to get a job at a real salon. Out of everyone in my family, my daughter gets the most involved haircut and its for free! She has stick straight hair and wears it in a long layered rock and roll style cut. Before going to Lucas, I had to pay between $50 and $95 just to have her hair cut. I have curly hair and Lucas takes the time to cut it and then straighten it to make sure the cut is precise. He told me he does this because with curly hair mistakes can be hidden easily. He also doesn’t try to talk you into expensive stuff like coloring that you could do yourself for the cost of the haircolor. I color my own hair with a single process and he guided me on how to do a better job myself.
It is also very convenient having someone who comes to the house. Between my job, taking my daughter to school and all her activities, I barely have time to breathe. Since Lucas started coming to us, it has made it easier to schedule haircuts and we no longer go around with our hair looking like crap for weeks before I finally manage to get to the hair salon. He is spontaneous too. Several times I called him saying, I have a few hours in the next couple of days with windows of opportunity to get my hair cut and he always fits us in.
We always look forward to his visits. He is great to talk to and did I mention sooo funny? I think my daughter has a crush on him.
I am so impressed by this guy. He came to my house at 8 am (on mothers day) and gave me an amazing haircut. Not to mention he put up with my two rowdy boys running circles around him while he did it. He then cut both of my boys hair in about 20 minutes. Thanks so much for the tip. I will definitely be using him again!
I also had a haircut by Lucas. The haircut was OK (not great), but it took forever (2.5 hours!) and I was not pleased with his behavior (very unprofessional). Plus he scared my 7 months old daughter & made her cry, so I will not use him again.

Lucas cut the hair of our family, in fact he did two of us and ‘restored’ two others. Everybody was happy about his work! I’d certainly recommend Lucas for adults and children!
