Update on H1N1 Shots for kids and adults this week and weekend

You can get your H1N1 shots, as usual, at the Weekend H1N1 Vaccination Clinics, however, they will vaccinate only those in the high risk categories. It still leaves the “under 4 years” crowd out and some others. If you are not able to get vaccinated at weekend clinic, you can get your vaccination at LICH Pediatrics.
Here are the details: The shots are being given on Wednesday 10 am to 12 pm (with Dr. Gilgoff) and 1 to 4 pm (with Dr. Aronov) at LICH Pediatrics. The cost is 20 dollars – to cover storage and administration and staff/doctor time. Dr. Gilgoff says they are giving only the H1N1 vaccinations. They don’t have enough of the seasonal flu shots right now. The H1N1 shots are being given to those that are ages 6 months and above. You can get the first shot or booster (booster needed if less than 10 years old). Call 718-780-2334 for an approximate time slot. Paperwork must be filled out for Dept Of Health but your insurance will not be billed anything.

Dr. Gilgoff adds, “We make our best efforts to make it efficient, but expect a short wait as the turn out has been enormous. ”
**So, please be patient. This office is known for its short waits in general.
