I love this time of the year. New kids’ classes are starting up in the next two weeks.  It’s a new semester and a chance for you and your child to try anything you want- and for FREE!  How about a Mandarin class, or a karate class or ballet? Beginning January 11th, ArtsCetera will be holding free trial classes for families wanting to sample something new and for alumni who want to check out their new Park Slope location at Bend and Bloom Yoga at 708 Sackett Street, between 4th and 5th Avenues. GoGo Babies
They are offering a free trial class at their location at Birthday Presence. Their location in Carroll Gardens at Families First is usually a sell-out, so this is an opportunity to check it out in Park Slope.  Classes meet Wednesdays at 12:30 for 8 weeks to pre-crawling and 1:30 for crawling to standing.  Class site is at Birthday Presence 291 8th St. @ 5th ave. in Park Slope. Whether it’s Spanish, French or Mandarin you have in mind for your child(ren), Lango has immersion classes. Parents Rock
Parents Rock is a class that teachers parents how to play songs on guitar that they and their kids will enjoy.  On Sunday, January 10th from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., Danielle Sara of ‘Parents Rock’, is offering a free information session on learning to play guitar. In addition you can bring your guitar in for tuning or if you do not have a guitar, get information on best places to purchase. Sign-a-Song
Sign-a-Song, a musical introduction to American Sign Language for the whole family, begins its winter session the week of January 17th in Park Slope, Cobble Hill, and Brooklyn Heights.  All classes appropriate for children ages 3 months to 3 years.
