Bookplates are a fun way to mark your child’s blossoming book collection. Here are some of my favorites from Etsy.
These sweet blue bird bookplates are designed from the end sheets of a very old children’s hymn book. Love the silhouettes and blue with cream. $15.75 for 24 of them.

Vintage Mr. Fancy Fox bookplates
This Mr. Fancy Fox illustration is from a vintage children’s book from the 1920′s. What kind of conversation do you suppose this fox and bunnies are going to have? The plate has an unusual rectangular shape. $15.75 for 24 of them.

winged unicorn in letterpress
Who doesn’t love a nice letterpressed card? This winged unicorn can be permanently put in a book with a crack-n-peel backing paper. Available in green or pink ink. $6 for 10 of them.

Hedgie Bookplates
Bibliophile Hedgehogs with berets…now, aren’t they smart? They have rounded corners, and each bookplate is self-adhesive, and will be permanent once applied. $12 for 15 labels.

Cabin and Cub bookplates
These retro mixed media collage images are sweet and quirky. Optional name personalization is also offered. $6 for 8 bookplates.

Lil monster
Your little monster might light these vibrant plates of lil monster amongst a pile of books. $12 for a set of 18 personalized bookplates

Sailboat photo
This plate is designed from an Etsy sellers’ own nursery photographs. It makes me think of “sailing off” in the land of books. $24 for 14 bookplates.

Vintage Animal Band bookplates
This sweet image is taken from a children’s book illustration. I love how engaged each animal looks in making their “animal band.” $5 for 6 of them.

Child reading
Last, but not least, this very simple bookplate showing a child engrossed in reading with her/his? friendly cat keeping her company, is just plain, lovely. These can be personalized. $5 for 6 bookplates.
