New Yoga Studio with a week of free yoga!
A new yoga location is opening up in Fort Greene/downtown Brooklyn and to celebrate their grand opening on March 1st, they are offering a week of free yoga! Um, yes, this girl and her mat will be there as much as possible….you? The new studio is in an unusual setting. It’s in the new development, the Toren. You have seen the Toren go up over the last year and a half at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Myrtle Avenue. It’s glass facade and its 30 plus stories are pretty hard to miss. The yoga studio is on the fourth floor (the doorman will let you up). If it’s anything like the pool or fitness room in the building, I would blush to do yoga in there. With classes from teachers in Hatha, Forrest, Core Strength Vinyasa, Kundalini, and Restorative yoga, as well as Living Meditation classes, you can probably find what you are looking for. They don’t have any prenatal scheduled, but I hope they will soon. The schedule starts at 7:30 in the morning and the last class is at 7:45 pm. For their full schedule, go to www.yogalocal.com.

Thanks for the heads up about this, but the yogalocal.com site is for an iphone app. No iphone, so I can’t figure out how to access their schedule on-line. Any tips? Thanks!
