We used to have milk delivered when I was growing up. There was something special about that fresh, cold milk in those heavy bottles. If you are as nostaligic about home milk delivery, you are going to be thrilled with this news. The Manhattan Milk Company is now delivering to select neighborhoods of Brooklyn. You can select from their organic, hormone free bottled milk, organic cage free eggs, water, juices, butter and yogurt. You just need to spend at least $15 and pay a $5 delivery charge.
The drivers (and owners) loads their truck up with the milk that is sourced from 51 Amish farms in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. They deliver all night so that the milk is delivered to your home fresh in the early morning. You might even catch them on your own early morning routine.
Delivery for these areas happens every Thursday: Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, and Cobble Hill. Order at 917-388-2713 or online at http://www.manhattanmilk.com
