Purl Patchwork in Soho has been my favorite fabric store ever since I moved to NY (going on 10 years now!). I love all their chosen fabrics, from tiny robots on sea blue to bold fuschia polka dots with jaguars. Plus, the women in there can answer any sewing question you have. They have a sister store named Purl which is their knitting store just down the street. Since I stink at knitting, I have never stepped in there, but surely someone here has?
The big news, announced on their craft blog “The Purl Bee” is that they are moving and will have a huge customer appreciation day.
They are moving both stores into one huge place that will have space for classes. The new address is at: 459 Broome Street. You can see from their calendar above their closing, opening and moving dates.
Saturday April 24th is the opening celebration and Customer Appreciation Day. There will be free refreshments, goodie bags, giveaways and raffles along with free classes to show off their brand new dedicated classroom. (There will also be some fun surprises for our online customers who can’t visit us in person!)
