EditBack in February, I wrote about a new yoga location called YogaLocal Studio that had opened up in Fort Greene/downtown Brooklyn. They did a week of free yoga classes for their opening and now they are doing another special:

Every class Take your first class for only $10 during the month of April  (normally $15 or $20). They have matched Area Yoga’s pricing single class price, which has some of the best rates around. 60 minute classes are $15 and 90 minute are $20. 10 classes for $140 and 20 classes for $250.

The new studio is in an unusual setting. It’s in the new development, the Toren. You have seen the Toren go up over the last year and a half at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Myrtle Avenue. It’s glass facade and its 30 plus stories are pretty hard to miss. The yoga studio is on the fourth floor (the doorman will let you up). If it’s anything like the pool or fitness room in the building, I would blush to do yoga in there. With classes from teachers in Hatha, Forrest, Core Strength Vinyasa, Kundalini, and Restorative yoga, as well as Living Meditation classes, you can probably find what you are looking for.  The schedule starts at 7:30 in the morning and the last class is at 7:45 pm.  For their full schedule, go to www.yogalocal.com or see the schedule below.
