Bauer hockey sticks that are being recalled
Hockey season is almost over so it’s disappointing that this recall wasn’t made pre-hockey season. On April 1st, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Bauer, announced a voluntary recall of Bauer youth and junior hockey sticks, shafts and blades. The recall involves about 67,000 items in the U.S. and 60,000 in Canada sold from 2005 and on. The paint, decals, shafts and blades contain excessive levels of lead.
Contact Bauer for a replacement or refund. Call Bauer toll-free at (888) 734-0443 between 8 a.m. and midnight ET Sunday through Saturday or visit the company’s Web site at www.bauer.com
