Creative Cooks mini-chef hard at work. Your kid could be too!

Spring classes are starting and this is a great time to sample classes to see what you might like to enroll in for the semester. Free trial classes start this week and run through the end of April. If you know of any additional ones- please add them to the comments section at the bottom.

Rug Bug Music starts off the week with free trial classes at Spacecraft in Williamsburg. A little info about them below:

Baby Rug Bugs (0-6 months)- Song sharing to accompany your day to day play, we’ll give you music for every moment. Learn to make great green toys, and sweet ways to bond over books, blankets, baby sign language and massage. Little hearts, learn how they can change the world, through giving back.

Busy Rug Bugs- (6 months and up) There is little sitting for the Busy Rug Bugs. Active music, “curious items,” and magical recycling wrapped in meaningful melodies. This musical community shares and cares together to support charities for mothers and children.Rug Bug Music

This acting class is offering a taster class in Clinton Hill:

Thursday 8th April 4-5 PM for 3-5 years:

Details: Classes are held at Move With Grace Studio, 469 Myrtle Avenue and are taught by British actress Sylvia Cohen.

Young actors get introduced to drama through children’s theatre games, storytelling, language, creative movement and performance. Unleashing their imaginations they work together to build self-confidence, teamwork and broaden their creative vocabulary. The class is drop off, or you are welcome to stay and watch if you prefer. We will be asking for feedback after the classes to help us create a more permanent schedule for the rest of the year. Sylvia has worked in the West End and on British TV for the last 10 years and as a drama practitioner and teacher for the last 7 years. She has taught and directed children from a broad age range including children with special needs and behavioral problems. In 2007 she set up The Performance Laboratory Theatre Company that created and performed work for The Shakespeare’s Globe, The Institute of Contemporary Art and The Victoria and Albert Museum.
