New boutique opening on Dekalb this weekend
One of my favorite moms in the neighborhood, Genevieve Platt, is opening a new store with her partner in Ft. Greene this weekend. The store is called Feliz and will reside in the small shop that used to house Picnic and before that, Urban Spring. They are having friends/family soft opening this week, starting tomorrow and then an official opening next week.
It sounds like Feliz will be a boutique store selling everything from hand-made Spanish espadrilles, Tocca beauty products, linen throws from Maine, Salt-Water sandals, screen-printed t-shirts made in Brooklyn and more……
Refreshments will be served on Saturday and Sunday May 8th and 9th, 10 am – 6 pm
Feliz
185 Dekalb Avenue
Ft. Greene, Brooklyn

I went to the soft opening and really liked the feel of the space now- it feels airier, friendly and cozy. A few pair of espadrilles were sold in the 10 minutes I was there- and someone asked about the Salt-Water sandals they were selling (which I have myself and love). Maybe the shoes will end up being a best-seller for them? I haven’t been in since they restocked for the actual opening- so will check it out today.
That’s terrific – knowing Genevieve, it will be a terrific store.
I’m so glad to finally know what’s going in that spot! I’m going to stop by to see what it will be like.
