Here's Joyce doing what she does best: info and stats!!!

Our School Expert, Joyce Szuflita of NYC School Help will be giving her Intro to Public School: PreK and Kindergarten Talks starting June 1st.  I have found the talk incredibly helpful in finding out about the differences between charter schools, magnet schools and dual language schools, how to apply out of zone, what gifted and talented really means and when to take the test. She pulls out this huge map she has with all the zones properly marked by street, so you can be sure what district you are in and see what schools are nearby that you might be interested in.  Joyce gives you all the Department of Education deadlines and prep info you need and lots of insider tips.  Joyce is a fast talker and somehow manages to get all that crucial information in for you. She does answer a lot of questions there too (but won’t discuss individual schools- you can hire her for that).

$25 per person / $40. for families if you buy tickets online (link at left).
$5 additional per person if you pay at the door, but you need to contact me to make sure that there is room. Two different talks are listed, so make sure you find the one you want.
