The Williamsburg Neighborhood Nursery School (“WNNS”) is celebrating its 10th Anniversary by hosting a family festival and benefit on Saturday, June 12th (rain date Sunday, June 13th). It will take place from 10am to 4pm in parking lot behind the school (entrance on South 2nd, between Wythe and Kent Aves.).

Activities for children will include: crafts with Spacecraft (my favorite!) and LemonSky, Hoop Dreamers hula-hoop workshop, t-shirt tie-dying, planting workshops, face painting, Suzuki violin workshop, and more! Live entertainment will include: Video Juice Box, a violin concert with Sarah Geller’s Suzuki Violin Studio, and a gymnastic performance by The Gym Park. Baked goods, refreshments, and children’s books will also be for sale at the event. Prizes will be available in a raffle including: gift certificates to Mini-Jake, Sweet William, Greenhouse Holistic (great massages IMO), The Flying Squirrel, Aurora, personal training sessions, works from local artists, and much more.

All proceeds will go directly to WNNS in order to increase their ability to serve middle and low-income families in the neighborhood.
