It seems that Lulu’s owner Brigitte is on a roll. Last October she opened her second store Lulu’s For Baby after the success of her original toy and hair salon Lulu’s Cuts and Toys. And, now she is opening a third store: Lulu’s Then & Now.
Lulu’s Cuts and Toys has been popular for its well-edited selection of toys and their informed staff who can steer you to just the right toy or make a haircut, if not tolerable, actually fun. The same fanfare goes for Lulu’s Baby. The selection of strollers, toys and accessories is well considered. I particularly like Brigitte’s sister who works there: she’s young and laid back. That’s especially great for expectant parents as there isn’t any hard sell for the big-ticket gear.
The new store (which isn’t open yet), “Lulu’s Then & Now”, will be just a hop from the other two sister stores. It will be a few storefronts down at 75A 5th Ave in Park Slope. Lulu’s Then & Now will sell gently used children’s clothing, toys, books and baby gear (and new too!).
They are now accepting Fall and Winter clothing for ages 0-6 years for cash or credit. Call for an appointment: 718-398-LuLu.
