As some of you might know, I am an Ambassador for Kids Club Thirteen- which means I get to tell you all about the great events they have going on throughout the year and I get to go and meet you at them too! You need to join Kids Club Thirteen to get the special access and members-only exclusive activities for the events. Membership also gets you sweet and meaty discounts at most NY museums and institutions (like 50% of Gazillion Bubble Show tix and Free Admission to International Center of Photography).
You won’t want to miss their next event on Saturday, August 14th from 12-4 pm. And Culture Mom, who blogs weekly for us about all the great cultural events, is hosting this event, so say “Howdy!” to her when you go! (You can join the Club on-site too!)
The event is “A Boatload of Fun with Curious George” at the South Street Seaport Museum and Peking Ship. You get to board the historic tall ship Peking and discover what life was like at sea. Take the Explore challenge on board — raise a sail, learn how to tie sailor’s knots, and visit the Museum’s Living Harbor Wet Lab for a hands-on with the sea life found in New York’s harbor.
Kids Club Thirteen members receive free admission (don’t forget to bring your temporary card), enjoy a members-only meet and greet with Curious George, private episode screening, and Curious George activities. Plus, members will receive a model boat kit to make, decorate, and sail (at home in the bathtub or pool)! Arrive early for great giveaways*!
