The Snowy Day by Ezra Keats
This Thursday, October 7th is a special day for parents of preschoolers all over the world and in Brooklyn. By attending a reading of favorite book Ezra Keat’s The Snowy Day, you can support preschool programs for low-income neighborhoods. Jumpstart’s Read for the Record Day is a national record breaking day of reading, and this year The Snowy Day will be read for millions of people all across the U.S.. The more people that read on Oct. 7th, the more books that will be donated to pre-K classrooms nationwide.
In Brooklyn, pre-school children from Ft. Hamilton Army Base will be joined by officials of the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation and Jon Sciezka, award-winning Penguin author and nationally recognized reading advocate, in Prospect Park, for a reading of Keats’ The Snowy Day.
The Snowy Day is available to read for free online at www.wegivebooks.org.
