This is a reminder as spring comes and the potholes and noise become rampart: the City of New York launched a program that allows you to submit still images and/or audio/video files things that irk you, make you crazy, need to be fixed. (Now, if only they had a way to send in audio recordings for that annoying barking dog next door!)
How can you do it? Call 311 or by visit NYC.gov.
NYC.gov Picture/Video Program - to report a problem online, click on the appropriate form below, fill out the form, upload your pictures or video files and submit.
- Report a pothole
- Report street, highway & sidewalk construction complaint
- Report graffiti in City Parks
- Report ADA complaint in Parks
- Report dirty vacant lots
- Report broken/defaced public pay phones
- Report missing/damaged street sign
311 Picture/Video Program – to report a problem by phone, dial 311 to open a service request (SR), and provide your email address to receive the upload link. You can add pictures to the following types of 311 service requests:
- Street and Sidewalk conditions such as potholes, parking meter problems, and damaged bus stop shelters.
- Public park conditions, such as animals, maintenance or facility issues, and rules violation.
- Consumer complaints, such as damaged/defective goods, false advertising, and prices/rates not posted.
- Cable and public pay telephone complaints.
- Health department conditions including food establishment complaints.
- Public school maintenance issues.
- Taxi complaints.

Totally going to use this to report the lack of drainage at Thomas Green Playground. If it rains we can’t skate for days, even when it’s sunny out, because there’s a LAKE in the middle of the park!
