Double Trouble: Events where you can save on clothes and gear

While we have some fabulous consignment shops in Brooklyn, sometimes it’s fun to go to an event where you swap and buy used items from parents you see and meet. One of the most famous tag sales for parents is the Manhattan Twins Club sale. Why is it famous? For its stock on double strollers, cribs, duplicate clothing and everything a parent of a twin might need. Don’t think that only parents of twins can go- parents of singletons can find everything they need too. This Tag Sale has double everything- you can pick and choose just what you need for your single babe too!

If you can’t make the trip to Manhattan, then you might check out the celebrated ArtsCetera Studio. Their Baby and Kids Clothing Swap is all about neighborly relations:  just come and swap everything from shoes, books, toys and clothing. To enter all you need is a grocery sized bag of items (you’ll only swap your bestest, right?! and a suggested $10 entry fee.)

Though both sale events are a couple of weeks away, you need to start gathering your things now.  The Manhattan Twins Club has a few tables left for sellers and ArtCetera is looking for volunteers to help out.

  1. Thanks Natalie- I just changed it. And I appreciate how kindly you stated it wasn’t my error! Most people never think to say that! Have a great sale. x

  2. Thanks so much for posting the info about the Manhattan Twins Club sale. NOTE: THE DATE HAS CHANGED. The new date is May 24th NOT the 25th as stated.
This is not a Child in Brooklyn’s error, we had an issue with our venue and had to change the date.
Same location, same time, just a day before.
    THANKS!!!!
    Natalie
