City Kids Dance Creative Ballet
Living in Brooklyn, we are so lucky to have numerous classes available to our kids – ranging from music, dance to movement and even Capoeira! But along with all of these exciting classes may sometimes feel as if we have too many choices – making it difficult to decide where exactly our children should go. Many businesses realize this and have started to offer free or deeply-discounted courses so that you and kids can actually test out a class before you fork over the big bucks. Here are some trial and demo classes taking place this week so that you can better decide where to take test the waters this summer.
FREE City Kids Dance Demos
Monday, June 6
10:30 Parent + Toddler Dance (walking tots-3yrs)
Our unique teaching technique develops motor, vocabulary and listening skills while being exposed to a variety of ethnic, classical, and folk music.
4:00 Tap + Dance (3.5-6yrs)
This class offers students a chance to explore creative dance and beginning tap in one class.
5:00 Creative Acting (4-7yrs)
This class will give students the opportunity to express themselves through dramatic play, movement and storytelling.

FREE Musica Para Mi Demo
Saturday, June 18: 11:00 (5mo-3.5yrs)
The joy of music and Spanish in a total immersion fiesta! New York City’s original music-in-Spanish program, where very young children (babies and toddlers) and their adults sing, dance and jam in a playful, supportive total-immersion environment.

I just wanted to give a thumbs up for ‘Musica Para Mi’ and definitely recommend trying it out. Graciela and the teachers really create a fun environment for the children and adults! My child loved dancing to the the music and I had fun interacting and singing to/with her in Spanish (and I don’t know much of the language!) during class.
The listing above lists the location at Still Hip, but there are also trial classes at GUMBO (Atlantic Ave./Third St) which is where I took my child since she was a baby-toddler.

Our first session of Little Movers – Yoga for Toddlers class is coming to an
end, and we are gearing up for our summer session! Little Movers is an
engaging and lighthearted combination of yoga, play, song, streamers,
bubbles, balls and more. Children 12-36 months welcome with their parent(s)
or caregiver!
