Inti Raymi as celebrated in Peru Photo: Jose Santana

If you are a music lover, mark your calendars now for two family summer concert series that you don’t want to miss. We wrote them up this week already, but we want to make double sure that you don’t miss the Madison Square Park Kids Concert Series or Fort Greene Park’s Music in the Grove all summer long. Yesterday 700 people showed up for the Fort Greene Park concert and it never felt overwhelming crowded. It’s a Wednesday summer hangout that’s groovy fun with picnic blankets, community dancing and great music.

This weekend Charles has hunted down the most interesting music acts including the Hunts Point Fish Parade ( a milder version of the Mermaid Parade apparently), the Children’s Day Festival at South Street Seaport, a celebration of the Inti Raymi with Native dancing and much more!
