The horrific murder of 8-year-old Lieby Kletzky rocked Brooklyn and the nation to the core. Many families have expressed an interest in honoring Lieby and so a few people have created an opportunity for all of us to help do so.  They are raising funds to plant a tree in Lieby’s memory in Prospect Park.  Through a tree planting program run by the Prospect Park Alliance, a tree will be chosen as a memorial to the boy and his family.

In order to start this plan, donations are taken so that the Alliance can see what type of tree can be purchased and planted. Prospect Park will then provide the group with a certificate that can be given to the Kletzky family. Those interested in donating, can do so on online, over the phone or by check. Make sure you indicate your donation is to “The Lieby Kletzky Tree Fund” either on your memo line of your check, over the phone or in the comments section after you put your credit card in online.
