Jam On DUMBO has been been rocking kids monthly since February, but this summer they are doing a big blowout free Family Festival. Featuring a full day of family entertainment, the Jam includes an entertaining day filled with musical performers, balloon twisting, arts and crafts, and local vendors featuring their unique products as well as mom pop small businesses. Some performers on the bill include Erin Lee and The Up Past Bedtime Band; an interactive Afro-Haitian drum and song performance by Bonga; the kiddie cabaret band The Itty Biddies; ukulele duo The Mini Max Players; rockers Rolie Polie Guacamole; and teen alternative-rock group Still Saffire. The festival will also feature a performance by P is for Puppet and a family yoga class led by Bija Yoga.com.

Founded by a group of local parents looking to bring more children’s music programming to DUMBO, Jam On DUMBO is also being planned with weekly drop-in music classes and a Music Week at P.S. 307.
