I am a huge fan of baby wearing and I believe it really helped preserve my sanity while keeping my children comfortable during their first years of life. I not only loved the convenience of using a cloth carrier but I cherished the peace it gave them by being close to me. I can be hands-free which makes it easier for me to be at the park with my older daughter or make dinner. So, I am happy that next week is International Babywearing week to help bring awareness about babywearing as well as its benefits and tips on how to do so properly.
To celebrate, Caribou Baby is hosting a slew of events during this week, including our Meetup.com event covering Brooklyn’s Best Resources for New and Expectant Parents where Karen (founder of A Child Grows In Brooklyn) and Adriane (founder of Caribou Baby) will answer all of your burning questions about everything from the best pediatricians, classes, places to meet parents, doulas and more.
Check out some of these really interesting events at Caribou Baby.
Wednesday, October 12 from 6:00pm-7:00pm (after the walk but before the Brooklyn’s Best Resources Meetup)

******We are also excited to announce that we are planning for our 2nd Brooklyn Baby Expo in March where we will showcase the top resources for Brooklyn parents through workshops and demos as well as provide a place where parents can meet with and chat with exhibitors and other parents. Community, sharing information and conversation – that’s what makes being a parent in Brooklyn so great and we can’t wait to showcase some of the best resources and businesses this year! Adriane from Caribou Baby was there last year and we hope that she will join us again this year!
