Newly opened plant nursery and farmers market in Clinton Hill

What once was a garbage dump and weed garden in Clinton Hill has been remade into a lushly seeded green space with an operating plant nursery and farmers market.  For the last month,  locals in Clinton Hill and Fort Greene have stumbled upon the spruced up space, happily snatching up baked goods and a fern or two. Trilok Fusion Arts, an arts group, preschool and summer camp has taken the lot adjacent to their center and made it an oasis.

The Nursery is open on weekdays from 4 PM to 8 PM and on weekends from 9 AM to 6 PM. Sandor and Gloria from the famous Liberty Sunset Garden Center in Red Hook brought decades of experience in creating the garden.  The Market is open on Sundays from 9 AM to 5 PM. Local farmers and artisans display pickles, fresh produce, baked goods and other dishes. You might even catch some live music by local bands.

Science programming to neighborhood schools and other community events are also planned at the yard.
