If you have a teen you know what happens when you ask them how their day was……you might get a “hmmm” or “fine”. But what if you put a camera in their hands and let them access a world that lets them “talk” on their own terms? A free digital class at St. Johns Recreation Center in Crown Heights helps your kid do just that. In a free video, photography and sound design class for teens, kids are free to explore their inner thoughts through creativity.
Beginning September 10, the Rec Center will be offering the free class to teens (14-17) on Mondays and Wednesdays as well as free sound production classes Tuesdays/Thursdays. The instructors at St John’s hold MFA’s in art and music, and are practicing artists themselves.
