Getting Crafty at Spacecraft
We love learning more about crafts like how to knit, paint or sew that also makes for a very relaxing activity with and sometimes without the kids. This month Spacecraft, a craft-making and supply boutique in Williamsburg is offering some unique classes like Men’s Knitting and a Thursdays on Sunday, a crafting class that combines “girl time” with craft making in addition to its interesting line up of classes. Spacecraft also offers walk-in crafting projects like collage-making, finger puppets, clothing construction and jewelry as well as weekly workshops and classes taught by local artists. Be sure to check out Spacecrafts’ calendar for more classes and crafty activities.
Sun, July 17th from 1pm – 4pm (and will happen monthly)
Thursdays on Sunday
Spacecraft and thursdaynightdinner.org, an online community that focuses on cooking, crafting and girl time, have teamed to combine a fun way to get together with your girlfriends and creating crafts. This month you and your best gals can make chic and functional tin can planters. There will also be mimosas and snacks at the vent – making for a fun and relaxing Sunday afternoon. There will be tons of cans available, but you can bring more if you have them. Cost of the class is $25 or $15 if you bring a friend. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thursday, August 4th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Men’s Knit Night
Calling all guys: bring your knitting needles and yarn to this men’s only knitting party at Spacecraft. A great place to learn how to knit, hang out with a current project and have fun with other crafty dudes. Jason Vanderbeek will be on hand to help you out at whatever level you’re at – including how to make sweaters, socks and or any other project. The event includes some wine but you can also bring your own. Cost of the class is $15. Spacecraft also recommends that you purchase your supplies from Lion Brand Yarn Studio.
