“How Children Succeed” Author Reading
When I heard and read about the new book, “How Children Succeed” from both NPR and the New York Times within the span of one month, I suspected the book was going to be a parenting book phenom. Though it hasn’t quite reached the ubiquitousness of the popular parenting book “Nuture Shock”, it’s entered the lexicon of parenting discussion groups.
The author of “How Children Succeed”, Paul Tough, will be on the Upper East Side to read, sign and sell his books next week.
About the book from NPR: “A child’s success can’t be measured in IQ scores, standardized tests or vocabulary quizzes, says author Paul Tough. Success, he argues, is about how young people build character. Tough explores this idea in his new book, How Children Succeed: Grit, Curiosity and the Hidden Power of Character.”
DivaMoms & Dads is hosting the ticketed event. Coffee, tea and snacks will be served. Tickets are $22.32 per person.
