Take a safari up to the Bronx where the animals can be easily spotted and will even stand still for a group photo. Obviously, these isn’t your average safari- it’s a LEGO safari. Your kids will love seeing Bronx Zoo’s Wild Forest giant LEGO sculptures of tigers, flamingos, gorillas, and other exotic wildlife, and then visiting their real-life counterparts around the zoo. Children can build their own LEGO sculptures at the construction zone, and enjoy Wildlife Theater performances and the hit musical puppet show, Avenue Zoo. The exhibit opened last week and will stay open until September 3, 2012.

Asia Theater
Avenue Zoo – this program debuted in the spring and will be continued throughout the summer season. It’s a musical adventure that tells the story of Kate Monster, from Avenue Q, who ends up in a new habitat, Avenue Zoo. She meets up with various animals and discovers that although they may seem strange and different, they are important inhabitants of the planet with their own special contributions. And, they are not so scary after all.
