Yoga is a fun-filled way for kids to cultivate self-esteem and body awareness. By mimicking animals and shapes in nature kids develop strength, flexibility, coordination and an appreciation for our environment. Children imagine and experience the qualities of other beings—the strength of a wise, old tree; the confidence of a lion; the grace of the wind; the speed of the F train! As kids indulge in imaginative yoga play they learn to focus, to cooperate with peers, and to use their breath to find peace in a stressed out world. Most importantly, children carry these tools into their daily lives!
Our studio allows kids to indulge in yoga fun while parents and caregivers enjoy their own serene practice in the adjacent studio. Caregivers and children can also practice together through our interactive Tots and Family classes.

I took a Mommy and Baby Class with Lara which was lovely. She concentrated on visual metaphors and goals, ways to work the poses with our babies and educated us about yoga and post-partum yoga all while helping us do correct poses with a simple rythym to follow. I liked her calming style.

Lara is a very warm and knowledgeable teacher.  Her classes were always gentle but still challenging.  Her vast knowledge of the pelvic floor and experience as a mom added to the yoga practice.  She also helped to cultivate a sense of community amongst the other women who now keep in touch.  I highly recommend her classes which are some of the best in the city.
