Our parties are 100 minutes of PURE FUN! And WE do ALL the Work. We provide the coaches for the first hour of activities, and a hostess for the forty minutes in the party room. We offer gymnastics/sports parties (including games, obstacle course, races, Airtrak), and for one price of $380.00 for 15 children ($15.00 each additional child). We include: invitations, paper goods, pizza, soda, Carvel Ice Cream Cake, balloons, coffee for adults, t-shirt for birthday child, party favor and can supply extras like pizza, soda, heros and kosher parties. We also do sleep-overs which include: gymnastics instructions, sports games, dinner, breakfast, snacks and movie.

I know people have continuously raved about Bklyn Gymnastics so I decided to enroll my son, age 3, in a class, completely sight unseen. We took our free “try out” class and our son had so much fun, we’re hooked. Just thought I’d put a plug in because they have lots of time slot choices and age ranges. BG seems to allow a lot of makeup chances in case you have to miss. Also, it’s the EASIEST drive from Bay Ridge and parking’s no prob. Just fantastic!

Prospect Heights location: I went to this location pregnant- I was excited to see the new space and to eat the yummy Blue Marble ice cream from the company they partnered with at this location. First, yes, the ice cream is fantastic, and second, the space is adorable. It is much smaller than the one at Atlantic Ave but has the nice same clean feel. The caregivers there were fantastic: enthusiastic, helpful and happy to be there. They showed me the small kitchen in the back that is available to everyone there. You can warm up milk, food and refrigerate what is necessary. Very helpful. They have a sweet grassy backyard that they use for yoga or tumbling or just to feel the grass under little feet. I wouldn’t bring my older child to this location as he likes to jump around and run- there just isn’t enough space for that. I think my younger one would just love it! 0-6 years.

I liked the play space- though it did feel worn around the edges and too tight for so many toddlers. There is a sandbox area that has sand toys and is enclosed in a large 10 foot square box. This was a big hit with the kids- and less so for the parents who have to wipe all the sand off their feet. There is a slide/climbing structure that is fun, but mostly inaccessible to the parents by the nature of its size and access. Because of that, there were times that watching my unstable toddler climb and move around in it, made me nervous. There is a playhouse with a lack of kitchen items that caused a few scuffles. I would not recommend this space for babies or crawlers- I think they might get mowed down. Most of the parents enjoyed some time hanging out, reading papers, phone emails, while the kids all interacted. Overall, it was fine- just felt smallish and worn down. They do have a little cafe area that you can watch the other kids on a big trampoline or doing gymnastics and buy some food. To me, that was the most fun part of it all.

  22. Another company I have used before is Characters for Hire located in New York City. I’m surprised they’re not on your list of children’s birthday party providers. They gave my daughter the best princess party ever. The quality was great and very upscale. Their princesses were very beautiful and had exceptional singing voices. The great part about them was they wore no wigs and looked liked genuine princesses. Their costumes were gorgeous and high quality. We had the Grand Royal package and it was spectacular how they created the moment for my daughter. Although this package was a little pricey, it was well worth seeing my little girl very happy. Last year we did a Star Wars theme event for my 6 year old’s birthday with this company and they showed us how a real birthday party is done when it comes to boys. They provided us actors that looked like real star wars characters complete with Jedi training and lightsaber combat entertainment. Boy, did those guys move very well. My son also got to participate in the fight scene and all the children received a Jedi training certificate. I would definitely recommend this comany. They really know how to entertain children and throw a great party. Just thought I’d mention this to all the other Mom’s out there. Check them out.

  23. Don’t forget about the newly-opened Brainy Academy!
