The Public Theater’s Free Shakespeare in the Park program is one of New York City’s beloved summer traditions and it started its summer run on May 28th. Tickets are free but have never been easy to come by, but with a little work you can usually get some.

Here is how you can get tickets:

The morning of each performance day, a line forms for free tickets at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Tickets are distributed at noon, 2 per person, while supplies last. Click here for more information.

Free tickets are also distributed online each performance day by random drawing via our Virtual Ticketing system. Click here for more information and to request tickets.

In addition, a limited number of tickets to specific performances will be distributed on special days this summer via free lines throughout the Boroughs of New York City. Click Here for more information.
