The Textile Arts Center is our latest addition to The Directory under Summer Camps, Classes-Arts and Crafts and Party Entertainment (you can have a birthday party at their beautiful new location). They have a mini-site on The Directory where you can see their class listings, send them an email and learn more about their center.
The Textile Arts Center is a place where both kids and adults (yes, us!) can take classes and workshops like sewing, weaving, quilting, felting and surface design. They offer weekday, weekend and after-school classes and provide pick up from PS 321 and PS 372.

Free Weaving Open House
The last Friday of every month they hold a free open house for you to come give weaving a try. Sign up for class that day and receive 10%off. The next session is this Friday afternoon, April 30th 4-6pm.

Registration for Summer Camp
The Day Camp at Textile Arts Center is a where young artists can use their hands to explore the act of making through different traditional textile practices. Campers build specific skill sets through one-week, project-based classes. In addition to class time, there is daily outdoor play and weekly field trips. Days will be filled with both fun and culturally enriching activities. Each camp session concludes on Friday afternoon with an open house where parents and friends are invited to view projects on display. Group Size: 7–8 children per class Ages: 6–13. They also offer late pick-up. They will be holding a Summer Camp Open House on May 16th from 2–4 PM. There will be question/answer time for parents, a sign-up table, and kids are welcome to come try weaving and a few other summertime projects.
