Need a gift guide for Mother’s Day?

How about a subscription to “GOOD” magazine as suggested by coolmompicks.com

Mother’s Day is coming which my husband had totally overlooked (until I reminded him last night). It’s not surprising since my birthday also passed without any recognition last year.  You know what I want for a present? (I’m pretty simple): PLANTS. Yes, really.  So, tonight we went and picked out some plants for me to attempt to grow in our garden, again. I am hoping this year that I won’t fail, again.  When we brought them home, I was so happy to see them outside in their containers that I did a dance and my children joined in. When Mother’s Day actually arrives, my gift will be to look out in our garden and see those plants in the ground- ripe for growth (well, hopefully!)

This post is for those looking to make gift suggestions, buy a Mother’s Day gift….or make one. There’s still time….don’t worry!

In case he is looking for homemade, last-minute favorite gifts:

1. Coupons from each family member- including a massage, special outing or night out
2. Breakfast in bed
3. The gift of “sleeping in”
4. A day of pampering- pedi, mani
5. A book of drawings and quotes from the children

There are always a ton of Mother’s Day Guides posted on blogs as the BIG DAY rolls around. But, my favorite this year is the one published by Cool Mom Picks.

Their catchy categories include:

For the Mom Whose Kitchen is Her Castle

For the Glam Mama (You Know the One)

For the Power Mom Who Rocks the Board Room

For the Eco-Funky Mama

For the Mom Who Wants to Save the World. And Probably Will.
