Looking for easy neighborhood fun this month? Stroll over to Fort Greene every Sunday in June for a three-block long street festival on Fulton Street. The streets will be closed off for loads of activities for kids and their parents. We (A Child Grows) will be giving out balloons this Sunday too! Stop by and say “hi”, especially to our friend Eddy- a entreprenurial 8 year old boy who delivers balloons to your house for a party.*
What you will find at FAB Allance’s party: : Soccer games on the street (hosted by Ft. Greene Soccer), crafts, art projects and literary activities outside Green Light Bookstore, environmental displays outside Habana Outpost (worms making compost and the Fort Greene Park “BUG GUY” are scheduled to appear), community mural painting, and even a dog parade! Plus there will be reggae and gospel concerts, chef demonstrations, author readings, Mad Libs games, paper planes construction, comedy acts, dance parties and a tribute to Michael Jackson. And on June 6 there will be a HUGE children’s clothing swap!
