Chess for Children: all summer

I always loved that movie “Searching for Bobby Fischer”– it’s a sweet story about a chess prodigy that doesn’t want to become the next Bobby Fischer- but to rather, just remain a kid.  It made chess seem appealing to me for the first time ever (I’m more of a Password type of gal).

Maybe your kid isn’t Bobby Fischer at chess either, but just would like to learn a little more. The Brooklyn Lyceum has been doing Chess For Children since June 6th- and will continue for the rest of the summer. The one (and sometimes two) instructors specialize in helping younger kids: they have had 5 year olds up to teenagers.
